ABOUT

I started The Little Home Bakery around twelve years ago after many years working in acute psychiatry. I began by supplying a local farm shop, Richards of Cornwall, and this lovely shop has been an amazing platform for me to sell my cakes and reach the wider community. As my reputation grew I started supplying local cafes and attending the odd food fair here and there. Each year my customer base has grown and now with both my children in full-time education, I have more time to bake. alongside the farm shop and cafes, I also attend local food fairs and bake for private events.

In 2019, to my absolute delight,  I won three gold awards from Taste of the West and was honoured to be asked to provide part of the dessert plate at their prestigious awards ceremony! Such an amazing experience led me to enter my cakes again in the 2020 awards, where I am so proud to say that I won a further gold award and a silver for one of my vegan loaves. Since then I have entered every year and have been awarded several more awards.

I absolutely love my job and I am so grateful that I can work from home, doing something I enjoy that fits around busy family life. Cornwall is such an amazing and inspirational foodie place and I love meeting other like-minded people, chatting to customers about my products and getting to know and support other local businesses.

I use as much locally produced ingredients as possible and I always bake with the fabulous free-range eggs from Cornhill, a local Farm just a few miles away. It is so important to me to support small, independent businesses like myself and so I thank you for choosing The Little Home Bakery :)
